OLYMPIA, Wash (AP) – State regulators are looking for a new company to track pot.
The Liquor and Cannabis board is accepting bids for a new seed-to-sale tracking system.
The initial value of the contract is expected to be about $3,000,000. The system keeps tabs on marijuana commerce.
The current seed-to-sale system provider says it has no plans to bid for the new contract.
It’s uncomfortable with some of the specifics of the state’s proposal.
The state hopes to have the new system in place by the end of October.
