NEW YORK – The Seattle Storm added depth to their roster Thursday with selections in the second and third rounds of the WNBA Draft. Seattle used the 15th overall pick on Alexis Peterson, a 5-7 guard from Syracuse. With the 30th overall pick the Storm selected 6-5 center Lanay Montgomery out of West Virginia.

Peterson, the 2016-17 ACC Player of the Year, averaged 23.4 points and 7 assists per game as a senior. She is the all-time assist leader for Syracuse with 590.

Montgomery averaged 10.6 points and 8.9 rebounds in 35 games during her senior season with the Mountaineers.

Seattle swapped their 2017 first round pick (number 6 overall) as part of a three-team trade with the Washington Mystics, and the New York Liberty to acquire center Carolyn Swords back in January.
