BELLINGHAM, WASH. – Governor Jay Inslee comes to town Tuesday.
He’ll be talking about electric cars, behavioral health housing and science, technology, engineering and math.
He’ll give a speech at Western Washington University about electric vehicle innovation, the state’s aggressive efforts to promote electric cars and the importance of alternative energy.
After that, he tours Catholic Community Service’s Francis Place, which serves people with mental health and substance abuse issues.
He’s pressuring Republican legislators to fund behavioral health-related housing.
Inslee also visits Shuksan Middle School to learn about its STEM initiatives.
The governor’s proposed budget includes more money for computer science in public schools.
