PUYALLUP, WASH. (AP) – BNSF Railway goes to court in an effort to stop the Pierce County Medical Examiner from getting footage of a man’s death.
Medical Examiner Thomas Clark says his investigators need the video to determine the manner of death for Ronnie Stirgus who was hit by a train February 5 in Puyallup.
The News Tribune reports BNSF wants a judge to stop Clark from enforcing a subpoena for the footage.
The railway’s attorney says it’s against company policy to release the video so they can protect those involved.
