BELLEVUE, Wash. – Dozens of people came together in Bellevue Saturday night for boxing and martial arts matches to support a good cause.

Proceeds will help pay college tuition for a former Bellevue Police officer and Whatcom County firefighter’s children.

John Nourse’s oldest son Quincy did some sparring.

“It really makes me feel like the world cares, like the world isn’t a cruel place. It’s filled with nice people who will do many, many things to help others.”

Nourse passed away in December from cancer.

He was a Bellevue Police officer for ten years and a Whatcom County firefighter for five years.
