WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Now that Quest Diagnostics has taken over Peace Health’s lab services in Whatcom County, you may notice some changes.
For one, the Lynden location has moved to Safeway.
Safeway’s Dain Rusk says they started a relationship with Quest last year and it’s going well.
“I see this partnership with Quest as being something transformational. From what we’re seeing after these initial 12 stores, we’ve really made a commitment to Quest, and anticipate this expanding across the country.”
Quest says it’s pretty much nothing but positive comments from patients.
It’s unclear if Quest will also open an office in the Bellingham Safeway.
One thing Quest patients don’t like is a problem caused electronic orders to seemingly disappear.
Quest says it reached out to doctors for new orders and expect to have all the bugs worked out by the end of the week.
