MUKILTEO, Wash. (AP) – A pilot, passenger, and everyone in cars involved in fiery plane crash on a Mukilteo street managed to walk away.
But some of the drivers say it was scary.
“…That’s probably the closest I’ve come to really thinking ‘OH, this is the end'”
Another driver, “I saw the smoke blow up, and then, *choo* he hit the cars.”
A third driver said, “I have a guardian angel.”
The National Transportation Safety Board says the pilot lost power just before the Tuesday crash.
The plane had just left a nearby airport, crashing soon after takeoff at the corner of Harbor Point Boulevard and Mukilteo Speedway.
Several cars were damaged in the crash and fire.
