KENT, WASH. – Signs inside the Sound Credit Union in Kent say no hats and no hoods, but a Muslim-American woman says she was singled for wearing a hood.

Jamela Mohamed says male customers wearing caps were not treated the same way.

She recorded the Friday incident with her phone.

Mohamed went to get a head-scarf after a teller asked her to take off her hood, but then saw the men wearing caps.

She talked to a supervisor who threatened to call police if Mohamed didn’t remove her hood.

Sound Credit Union is now apologizing and says it won’t happen again.
