OLYMPIA, Wash (AP) – State lawmakers hit the midway point of a 30-day special session, but still no budget deal.

It’s looking like they may need additional overtime.

Governor Jay Inslee says a bipartisan group of lawmakers are engaged in discussions on the education policy part of the budget

But, he says they haven’t made much progress on the financial aspect.

The budget must be signed by the governor by the end of June or the state risks a partial government shutdown.
