Bellingham and Fire District 8 look at combining forces

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The City of Bellingham and Whatcom County Fire District 8 in Marietta are looking at combining their efforts.

The City Council gave preliminary approval to form a committee to explore a partnership.

If that group decides to move forward and the council and fire commission agree, a measure would go to voters in the city and district.
