UNDATED (AP) — The Washington Capitals and the Anaheim Ducks get the chance to exorcise their Game 7 demons tonight.

The Capitals will try to end years of frustration at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight in Washington as the NHL’s top two teams face off in Game 7 of their second-round series. Washington is 0-3 against the Penguins in Game 7s, including a 6-2 loss at home in 2009. The Capitals have lost six of nine Game 7s in the Alex Ovechkin era.

Later tonight, the Anaheim Ducks will try to end their Game 7 losing streak when they host the Edmonton Oilers. The Ducks have lost a seventh game at home in the past four consecutive postseasons, and have lost five Game 7s in a row with stars Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.

The Oilers haven’t made the Western Conference finals since 2006.
