The Squalicum High School boys soccer team got knocked out of the state playoffs Tuesday night.  They lost to Gig Harbor 4-2 in Tacoma.

The Bellingham High girls softball team stayed alive at 2A districts beating Archbishop Murphy 3-2.  The Red Raiders move on to play Mountlake Terrace at 4:00 Wednesday at Janicki Fields in Sedro-Woolley.  The Blaine Borderites got eliminated losing to Lakewood 11-1.

Lynden Christian’s Erik VanderVelden shot a 74 to take first place at the 1A Bi-district tournament in Snohomish.  VanderVelden and fellow Lync Jake DeYoung both qualified for state.  In Class 3A Ferndale’s Dane Larsen and Liam Sherwood will advance to state.
