The Seattle Mariners have made a couple of roster moves involving right-handed pitchers. Chase De Jong has been optioned to Triple-A Tacoma, while Casey Lawrence has been called recalled from the Rainiers. Mariners G.M. Jerry Dipoto announced the moves Wednesday.
The 23-year old De Jong, is 0-3 with a 7.40 ERA . He totaled 11 strikeouts and 11 walks in 6 games with the Mariners this season.
Lawrence made 1 relief appearance with AAA Tacoma after being claimed off waivers from Toronto on May 11. The 29-year-old allowed 1 run on 1 hit while striking out 1 in 1 inning of work on May 13 vs. Round Rock.
