The 2A District softball tournament got underway at Janicki Fields in Sedro-Woolley Wednesday.  Sehome beat Lynden 4-2 in the winners bracket to clinch a state tournament berth.  Sehome had defeated Granite Falls earlier 10-0.  The Mariners will play Mountlake Terrace for the district title Friday night at 6:30.

Lynden had opened with an 11-4 win over Lakewood.  After the loss to Sehome Lynden now has a loser-out game against Cedarcrest Friday at 4:00.

Bellingham opened with a 3-2 win over Archbishop Murphy before being eliminated by Cedarcrest 8-2.

Blaine got knocked out by Lakewood 11-1.
