SEATTLE, WASH. (AP) – Lawyers for the man suing Seattle Mayor Ed Murray on sexual abuse claims are asking the case be moved outside Seattle.
Attorney Lincoln Beauregard also wants sanctions put on Murray’s lawyer for “concocting and spreading a false narrative” that Beauregard’s law firm is anti-gay.
The Seattle Times reports Beauregard contends the mayor and his legal team “have tainted the possibility of hosting a fair trial in King County.”
Murray denies the accusations, saying they are politically motivated.
