Whatcom County had a good day at state track Thursday claiming four individual state championships. Ben Malquist of Sehome repeated as Class 2A state champion in the shot put. Mary Carbee of Sehome won the title in the discus. Annika Reiss of Bellingham won the state championship in the 1600.
In Class 3A Ferndale’s Ben Broselle won the title in the javelin.
