BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Monday is Memorial Day and Whatcom County has many events to observe the holiday.
Ferndale’s Greenacres Memorial Park will hold its 50th annual Festival of Flags beginning at noon.
Hovander Homestead Park in Ferndale will host Vietnam Veterans of America with a special ceremony at four.
The City of Bellingham and Post No. 7 will host two services at Sunnyland Memorial Park and Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham.
Both the Lynden Cemetery and Greenwood Cemetery in Lynden hold services including presentation of colors, prayer and a 21 gun salute.
