BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Another case of the mumps in Whatcom County.
A student at Western Washington University is the latest to get it.
The student doesn’t live on campus and the Whatcom County Health Department says less than 25 people were potentially exposed.
There have been three cases of mumps in Whatcom County so far this year.
It’s part of a statewide outbreak.
The best way to prevent the mumps is to get vaccinated.
