CHERRY POINT, Wash. -The tanker believed to be the source of a bad smell Saturday in Bellingham is now offloading its oil at the B.P. Cherry Point refinery.

The Northwest Clean Air Agency says the anchored tanker emitted the sulfur-like odor when it vented its tanks.

B.P. wasn’t scheduled to receive the oil until later, but managed to rework things so they could get the vessel out of the area sooner and avoid any further stinky releases.
