SEATTLE, Wash. (AP) – Our state’s homeless population appears to be increasing.
Rough tallies show the number of people living outdoors or in shelters and transitional housing is up, despite efforts to reduce homelessness.
The Seattle Times reports a 3.5% jump over last year.
There’s a 10% rise in the number of people sleeping on the streets or in tent encampments.
