SEQUIM, Wash. – A high school junior accused of killing a woman and her dog is ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.
The Peninsula Daily News reports the boy is charged with murder, robbery, and animal cruelty.
Police say he used a fireplace poker to kill a 71-year-old family friend and her dog in Sequim.
He was released from a mental facility for threatening his adoptive mother the day before.
