MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – The man who tried to shut down an oil pipeline in Skagit County is guilty of burglary.
Kenneth Ward was also charged with criminal sabotage, but the jury failed to reach a verdict on that crime.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports Ward targeted the pipeline to raise awareness about climate change.
Ward plans to appeal the conviction.
