According to The Seattle Times, the University of Washington men’s basketball team is adding to their schedule for the 2017-2018 season. First-year head coach Mike Hopkins will take his team to New York for the 2K Classic November 16-17.

The tournament, held at Madison Square Garden, benefits Wounded Warrior Project. The Huskies join Providence, Virginia Tech and Saint Louis in the 23-year-old tournament.

The semifinal games will be held Thursday, Nov. 16 and the championship and consolation games are Friday, Nov. 17.

In the opening-round of the 2K Classic, Washington hosts Belmont Friday, Nov. 10, and Seattle University on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Alaska Airlines Arena.

According to the Times, UW is 1-0 against Providence, 0-1 versus Virginia Tech and 7-9 in matchups with Saint Louis.

Washington last played in the 2K Classic in 2013. They lost 89-78 to Boston College and 102-84 to Indiana.
