BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) – The largest Alaska Ferry will be out of service until late next month.
Marine highway spokesman Jeremy Woodrow tells Alaska Public Media the propeller was damaged.
The Columbia was due to return to the Bellingham run this month.
Instead, a smaller vessel will continue to service the route.
People who booked passage on the Columbia in June and July may not be able to get the cabins or vehicle space they reserved.
The Alaska Marine Highway is contacting the passengers affected.
