BAKER LAKE, Wash. – One Whatcom County search continues as another one wraps up.
Undersheriff Jeff Parks says Jose Gonzalez Arroyo wandered away from the Horseshoe Cove Campground on Baker Lake on Saturday.
“Reported missing by his wife. He walked away from the campground in the middle of the night, we don’t know if he became disoriented, possibly been drinking…”
He says Arroyo doesn’t know how to swim and there’s no indication of foul play.
Meanwhile, Parks says the search for a hiker near the Mount Baker Ski Area ended Tuesday morning.
The 19-year-old showed up at the search and rescue command post.
He wasn’t injured and didn’t realize people were looking for him.
