BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Not many homes sold in Whatcom County in the 2nd Quarter of this year.
Just 800, a nearly 8.5% decrease from the same period a year earlier.
Realtor Troy Muljat says it’s not because of a lack of demand.
“We see a lot of home buyers having to make several, or multiple offers. Or we’re seeing mulitple offers on a property getting listed, and literally five, ten offers; almost an auction, if you will.”
The time homes spent on the market was down nearly 26%.
And the median sales price rose 9.5% to about $345,000.
The median price in the city of Bellingham is nearing the $400,000 mark.
