MOUNT RAINIER, Wash. (AP) – A treacherous operation on Mount Rainier to recover a man’s body.
The skier fell 150 feet into a crevasse and died Sunday on the state’s tallest mountain.
The Seattle man was a part of a group of three people that had climbed Mount Rainier and were on their way down on skis.
Six climbing rangers descended into the crevasse using ropes to recover his body.
