BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Washington University students will pay more to go to school starting this fall.
Western President Sabah Randhawa says the increase came from negotiations with the state legislature.
“We ended up with, essentially, an understanding that the state institutions, all six of us, would raise resident undergraduate tuition up 2.2%”
The Western Board of Trustees did approve the 2.2% tuition increase for resident undergraduate students.
Those students will pay $128 more a year.
The increase follows an overall 20% reduction in tuition at Western over the past two years.
