KENDALL, Wash. – Two women and a man face arson and assault charges after a Friday night fight and four wheeler fire in the Kendall area of Whatcom County.

Sheriff Bill Elfo said it happened in the 84-hundred block of Golden Valley Drive.

He said Kristie Baker, Sarah Sturgeon and a man beat two people on the four wheeler before setting it ablaze.

One of the victims on the four wheeler armed himself with a machete and managed to cut the man who was attacking him.

Elfo said the wounded suspect and the two victims were taken to Saint Joseph Hospital, while Baker and Sturgeon went to jail.

There is no word on the extent of any injuries, but Elfo said the hospitalized suspect has since been arrested.

It’s unclear what started the fight.
