LACEY, Wash. (AP) – A man shot and killed two women at a Lacey home, according to police, before he took off in a car with two kids, led officers on a chase, crashed and shot himself.
Investigators say the man went to the Sunset View Estates home of his estranged wife or girlfriend and shot her and her mother Monday.
Lacey Police Commander Chris Ward told KING-5 the suspect then drove off, shooting at officers behind him. “The police officers did not return fire,” Commander Ward said, as there were young children in the car the suspect was driving.” At some point, he shot himself,” Commander Ward said.
Medics took him to the hospital.
The kids weren’t hurt.
