SEATTLE – University of Washington head coach Mike Hopkins has added Kreigh Warkentien and Jerry Hobbie to the men’s basketball staff. Warkentien will serve as Chief Administrative Officer while Hobbie will be the Special Assistant to the Head Coach. Both bring numerous years of Division I men’s basketball experience to an already experienced hoops staff.
Warkentien, who will handle travel, budget, alumni management and more, spent six years at UNLV and worked with current assistant coach Dave Rice as she was the director of operations along with being promoted to Assistant AD of Alumni Relations and Special Events.
Hobbie brings a wealth of experience as he spent seven years on the Southern Methodist staff in a variety of roles. He was an Assistant Coach, Director of Operations, Director of Recruiting and Special Assistant to the head coach while in Dallas from 2010-17.
Warkentien and Hobbie join a staff that includes assistants Dave Rice, Cameron Dollar and Will Conroy along with Director of Operations Trevor Wade.
