SEDRO-WOOLEY, Wash. –  A cougar killed a horse near Sedro-Woolley and now people who live in the area are worried about their children.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports the cougar attack happened at the end of July near the corner of Gripp and Mosier Roads.

A Fish and Wildlife agent said he think the horse died from a heart attack during the chase.

Four other horses were injured during the attack.

Fish & Wildlife recommends not leaving kids unattended outdoors and keeping pets inside at night.
