LYNDEN, Wash. – We’re still breathing unhealthy air in parts of Whatcom County because of smoke from the BC wildfires.
We asked people out at Vintage Farming Days in Lynden if the smoke is bothering them.
Responses ranged from distaste and irritation to unconcerned toleration.
Health experts recommend that people in those unhealthy areas spend less time than normal exercising or doing other strenuous activities outside.
If you have asthma, a respiratory infection, lung or heart disease, diabetes or a history of strokes you may want to stay inside with the windows closed.
Young kids, elderly people and pregnant women are also urged to stay indoors.
