ANACORTES, Wash – An Anacortes man is in all sorts of trouble after a pedestrian hit and run Friday night around midnight on Rosario Road about a half mile south of Anacortes.

23 year old Faris Diemert was charged with vehicular assault, hit and run, ignition interlock violation, and driving on a revoked license after State Patrol troopers say he crossed the yellow line and hit a 16-year old Anacortes girl riding her bike, and then left the scene.

Diemert was driving a 1998 white Lexus.

The youth was airlifted to Harborview; Diemert was taken to jail.
