Western Washington University officials in a Western Alert say at about 2:30pm Saturday, a shirtless white male, about 5’8″ tall and wearing coffee-brown shirts, carrying a gray shirt, approached a woman (who was not a WWU student) from behind and held a knife to her throat.

He then released her and ran east on Harris Avenue, last seen crossing 23rd street.
