BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Seven children were among those rescued when a raft started taking on water in Bellingham Bay.
The Coast Guard reported an adult on the raft near Portage Island called for help just after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday night. A boat crew was launched to assist.
All the children had life jackets on, but none of the three adults had life jackets to use.
No one was hurt.
