ANACORTES, Wash. – Citizens assisted scientists in the Salish Sea.
Western Washington University extended education classes for adults at its Shannon Point Marine Center in Anacortes.
The Skagit Valley Herald reported citizens helped collect samples this month aboard Western’s research vessel.
Shannon Point Marine Center Education Coordinator Allison Paul told the Skagit Valley Herald that she wanted the public to have an opportunity to interact with the university’s scientists.
Western offers a similar experience next month.
