BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Police are searching for two men involved in an attempted robbery and assault in the 600 block of Marine Drive.
Whatcom County Chief Criminal Deputy Doug Chadwick said the masked men approached the victim Friday afternoon. “They had demanded jewelry from the victim,” Chadwick said. “They were unsuccessful, but prior to leaving the scene they did assault the victim several times with a baseball bat.”
The men were described as Hispanic and between 5′ 4″ and 5′ 8″. Chadwick said they were wearing grey hoodies and bandannas over their faces.
Chadwick said anyone who sees suspicious persons in the area should call the Sheriff’s Office.
