PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — No. 8 Washington and No. 24 Washington State open their respective seasons fielding imposing linemen with a long history together. Washington left tackle Trey Adams and Washington State guard Cody O’Connell grew up in the same small Washington town where they were literally the big men on their Wenatchee High Cchool campus. Their high school coach, Scott Devereaux, says the two were probably the biggest people to ever live in Wenatchee.

KPUG Edit: Adams and the Huskies open the season Friday at Rutgers with a 5:00pm kickoff on KPUG (1170AM & 97.9FM). O’Connell and the Cougars are at home in Pullman Saturday to play Montana State at 7:00pm on KBAY (930AM & 98.9FM)
