The WWU volleyball team opens the 2017 season with four matches at the Terrace Hotel Classic in Lakeland, Florida. The Vikings play defending NCAA II and eight-time national champion Concordia-St. Paul in the season opener on Friday at 7:30am to officially open the season.
WWU will also play Pace, New Haven and tournament co-host Florida Southern in the two-day tournament, The Vikings are coming off a 23-8 season in 2016, finishing 2nd in the GNAC with a 17-3 mark, and made its fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA II Championships.
Western is playing their first 10 matches on the road. Their first home match is September 19th vs. Simon Fraser at WECU Court at Carver Gym.
