SEATTLE (AP) – The father of a Washington State University student who fell out of a dorm window wants the school to make changes.
Matthew Gray was three days into his freshman year when he fell out the window of his second-story dorm room last month.
The 18-year-old remains in a coma in Harborview Medical Center.
The Spokesman-Review reported Gray is one of dozens of WSU students injured in falls from balconies, roofs and windows.
Gray’s father demanded that WSU add safety features to windows on campus.
The university said residence halls must have windows that open so occupants can get out in an emergency.
