BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Police are investigating a Bellingham School District teacher.

Police spokesperson Danette Beckley says the sexual misconduct investigation is in the preliminary stages.

But Jacqueline Brawley with the district says they already conducted a thorough investigation and cleared the teacher of any wrongdoing.

The teacher remains in the classroom.

Brawley and Beckley both say no other information is available.

KGMI talked with the mother who made the accusations, but aren’t sharing her claims with you at this point.

We also aren’t releasing the teacher’s name.

The mother is seeking a protection order in the courts.
