LYNDEN, Wash. – A stolen truck led to a manhunt in a cornfield.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s Deputies said the Dodge pickup was reported stolen near River Road outside Lynden Monday afternoon.
About fifteen minutes later, a truck matching the stolen vehicle’s description was found flipped in a ditch on Bylsma Road.
Deputies believed the suspect escaped the overturned truck and fled on foot into a nearby cornfield.
Deputies set up a perimeter and used a K-9 unit to search the area, but did not find the suspect.
