SEABECK, Wash. – A Seabeck woman is being held on $1 million bail after her 9-year-old son was found dead in a bedroom.
Kitsap County Sheriff’s spokesman Scott Wilson told KOMO first responders noticed the scene where they found the boy looked “unusual,” and called in detectives to investigate further.
“We have reached the conclusion that the death of the child was due to obvious homicidal violence,” Wilson said. “That’s the term we’re using, we can’t specify exactly.”
Deputies didn’t arrest the father, who had called 911 for the child Tuesday morning.
The 9-year-old boy was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
