BELLINGHAM, Wash- The Bellingham K-MART will remain open for now.
Sears Holdings, the owners of Sears and KMART stores in the U.S. announced Thursday plans to close 45 KMART stores and 18 Sears stores after the holiday shopping season.
A store closure list published by MSN shows all remaining Washington State stores are set to remain open for now.
There are 1250 KMART and Sears stores left in the US, down from a peak of 3400 in 2006.
The last time the company made a profit was in 2010.
