FERNDALE, Wash – A Ferndale- area dairy farmer has been cited again for his farming practices, after previous charges of animal cruelty.

The Bellingham Herald reports the Department of Agriculture fined  Seth Snook of Snook Brook farms for allowing manure run off to leak into ditches near his farm at Grandview and Kickerville Roads.

Water quality testing showed elevated levels of fecal coliform bacteria.

This bacteria comes from fecal matter, and is harmful to people, wildlife and shellfish beds.

Snook had previously entered into an agreement in July of this year to dismiss animal cruelty charges after 28 animals were found dead or starving on his farm.
