SEATTLE (AP) – In Seattle, voters will elect a woman mayor for the second time in the city’s history and an east side race could decide the balance of power in the state Senate.
Voters will decide between urban planner Cary Moon and former U.S. Attorney Jenny Durkan to lead the city after former Mayor Ed Murray dropped his bid for re-election due to sexual abuse accusations from multiple men.
Meanwhile, a special election in the 45th District has broken all of our state’s previous legislative spending records.
It could determine whether or not Republicans maintain their one vote majority in the state Senate.
