GLACIER, Wash. – Two snowboarders from Bellingham have been missing near the Mt. Baker Ski Area since Sunday.
The men have been identified as 20-year-old Drew Lenz and 22-year-old Jacob Amancio.
Search and Rescue crews will be checking conditions Friday morning, deciding if they can resume the search.
Whatcom County Undersheriff Jeff Parks said snow conditions have been too dangerous the last couple of days for volunteers and personnel to search locations at higher elevations.
Crews hope to restart the search Friday or Saturday.
The two young men have been missing since Sunday, but so far crews haven’t found any sign of them.
