GLACIER, Wash. – The search for two missing Bellingham snowboarders near the Mt. Baker Ski area remains suspended.
The search was halted Tuesday evening due to dangerous weather conditions and avalanche hazard.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s office says with more snow forecast for Thursday and Friday, it’s unclear when they’ll resume searching higher elevations.
Friends of Jake Amancio and Drew Lenz intend to search lower elevations Thursday.
