BLAINE, Wash –
The theft of crab pots on the water is a known problem; now there has been a reported theft of them on land in Blaine.
The Northern Light reported in a facebook post Friday the theft of about 70 of 130 crab pots intended for a crab pot Christmas Tree decoration at Blaine’s Marine Park.
Blaine Police have reportedly arrested a man who was in the process of stealing more of the pots.
Construction of the crab pot Christmas Tree by volunteers was set to begin this week, according to Parks and Recreation District 2 manager Heidi Homes.
